My Teaching 

I am a qualified DBS checked teacher with over 30 years of experience, specialising in key stages one and two. My tutoring is individually tailored to each child’s needs and interests using their unique learning technique. I aim to make each lesson relaxed, friendly and interesting, building on prior knowledge with lots of reinforcement and consolidation where needed to nurture confidence. The learning is organised in consultation with the parents and child so that it compliments the learning that is taking place at school. Any particular areas that a child is struggling with at school is always incorporated into the lesson when needed. Each tutoring session has a lesson plan with verbal feedback given to parents, together with reinforcement activities to do at home between sessions when required. Lessons are available after school or at the weekend.
